Full Environments

A full environment includes an instance of all Arc XP applications and related content storage.

Each organization has two standard full environments: Sandbox and Production.

Experience Environments

An experience environment includes an instance of Arc’s experience product, PageBuilder, as well as the necessary tools to support the environment – Developer Center, Permissions and Global Settings. (PageBuilder is also available in full environments.)

Experience environments mirror most content data – such as that generated by Composer, Photo Center and Video Center – from a full environment.

Each organization has four standard experience environments: Development, Outbound Feeds Sandbox, Staging and Outbound Feeds.

Application Tier

Arc applications are deployed at different times to different application tiers. Most applications are deployed first to environments in the sandbox tier and then deployed again 1-2 weeks later to environments in the production tier. Environments in different tiers may be running different versions of applications in the Arc platform.
