Getting Started with Outbound Feeds

Outbound Feeds is an Arc XP self-service management and configuration tool for external content feeds. Outbound Feeds offers the following:

  • Maintenance and support over time, along with other Arc XP product upgrades.

  • Ability to create and manage your own custom feeds leveraging the PageBuilder Engine development platform.

Arc XP Outbound Feeds offer the following key features:

Fast setup

Arc XP created the most popular syndication feeds for self-service management and continues to add more. Arc XP provisions feeds in dedicated environments so you can use them instantly.

Configurable UI

With PageBuilder Editor, you can configure custom fields for each feed. Feeds are pre-populated with default values for quick deployment.

Development platform

PageBuilder Engine enables you to create and manage your own custom feeds. You can take an existing Arc Outbound Feed and eject (fork) the code to customize the feed to your needs.

Outbound Feeds environments

Arc XP provisions two Outbound Feeds environments within your organization:

  • Outbound Feeds ( outboundfeeds )
  • Outbound Feeds Sandbox ( outboundfeeds-sandbox )

Within the Outbound Feeds environments, Arc XP provisions the following:

  • An initial bundle with the standard Arc Outbound Feeds.
  • An instance of the Developer Center with developer tokens to support your CI/CD workflow.
  • A new instance of PageBuilder Editor dedicated to feeds configuration.

What feeds are not included in Arc Outbound Feeds?

Apple News, NITF, and Most Read are not currently included as outbound feeds. If you want to use Mobile feeds and Amazon feeds you must create a custom solution and maintain it.
